Today we had to take pictures no more sunrise, and so on until we were at 6.30 clock. After a few tries, with a rather unstable internet connection, we made our way to Kata Tjuta, also known as The Olgas. This mountain range is only 40 kilometers away from Uluru. Since we were already a bit late, we caught the impressions do not walk by a special digital camera.
Then we headed back to the mountain to photograph the day's quiz:
Which mountain you see in the background?
Then it was called back all the way to go to the Stuart Highway. The name comes from John McDouall Stuart, who managed the first to cross the continent in the year 1861/62 from north to south. The Stuart Highway was one of the most adventurous routes in Australia until it was paved.
Before we met on the Stuart Highway, we made a stop on the Lasseter Highway and bought a souvenir.
Finally, on the Stuart Highway, we drove further south to the remote destination Adelaide. For the first time since we are in Australia, covering the whole sky was gray. For it was not enough rain until the evening. The cloud cover, however, expressed the heat to the ground and we were tired.
Even at 15.00 clock, we decided to stay at the Roadhouse Kulgera. The campsite was very cheap, and offered to power pool and shower. Ok, the pool and the shower then we did not voluntarily. But otherwise the place was in order. We cooked our dinner at dusk and will now probably go early in the horizontal.
