After a very cold night, I woke up at seven clock. Half an hour later I stood up. After tightening it was unbearable, and then the wind had died down overnight, so I could enjoy the first cup of coffee outside. The sky was slightly overcast and in the camper, it was quite humid.
We left the bed for the time being as it is right and drove off. In the parking lot directly on Lake Tekapo in the sun had already appeared, and so we ate our morning muesli there. After washing up we went to fill up and bought a little tiny one. Soon we arrived at Lake Pukaki and saw just how the clouds moved in front of the Mt Cook in the distance.
Then we drove past at the Salmon farm and took the road to Mt Cook Village. a 55 kilometer away beside Lake Pukaki Glentanner Park leads on past into the valley. In the village we tried a place in the Mueller Hut to get, but unfortunately, all 28 seats were fully booked for the night. Another hut was not an option because we did not have a gas stove here.
So we opted for a hike from the campsite. We hiked over two suspension bridges on the Mueller Glacier Lake and reach the Hooker Glacier Lake.
From there it looked wonderful on the glacier at the foot of Mount Cook. Mt Cook is 3754 meters above sea level the highest mountain in New Zealand. He also served for scenes from Lord of the Rings.
The walk lasted from 14.00 bis 18.00 clock and we were pretty tired after that. Especially when we still had not cooked spaghetti, and we suddenly had to laugh about everything, we noticed the emergence of fatigue. Unfortunately, it does not have a shower here and there remains only the one cat clothes for the night.
Tomorrow I will then probably one of the Pelennor Fields, the fields in Twizel with the greatest statistical volume for the longest battle of the film series "Lord Of The Rings".

Mae govannen, mîn Mellyn (Elvish: Hello our friends)

Sunday, cold - the opportunity to read your trip reports once. Ok, I must confess that I have not seen purely in a while. Some of you have met a lot of people, many saw an interesting trip to Australia and behind you. And it goes on in New Zealand, but you've also taken care of yet. I've looked up the effect of the opal: love, hope, and he shall strengthen all life feeling. So you have it in hand. We hope for more interesting stories and wish you always good trip. Gruss Chantal and Housi
ps. I am enormously pleased about the call. Too bad I did not have more time. I'll try in future at the weekend, more to be on Skype.
