Once again a short vacation in Switzerland to spend, even this may be recovering. We decided this summer with the tent and being delayed for five days to travel to the Ticino, and we set up at a campsite in the Maggia. Without reservation, we drove 31 July 2008 at 9.00 clock in the morning going south. The first stop we made already one in Chur, because we had to buy little things. The next stop was then on the San Bernardino pass. There we ate something small and made us one with a strong espresso to the south. 
The weather was and we took a large piece of the old main street. There it was deserted as far as the traffic. Only when Mesocco we headed to the highway to the lower level part of the Misox quickly put behind us. After the long tunnel before Locarno (we forgot, once again, how hot it was in there the last time) we arrived at around 14.00 clock in the Maggia Valley, and inquired as to the campground "Piccolo Paradiso" for an open seat. Under the shade of the trees we got them and we set ourselves an even immediately.
We soon found out once that we were in good hands between families with small children, that is, we needed an alarm clock to the morning in time to be awake.
The Maggia offered once enough stones, cool water and plenty of idyllic spots to spend the entire day to feel good.
