Once again a short vacation in Switzerland, spend even that can be relaxing. We decided this summer with the Verspa and the tent for 5 days to go to Ticino and we set up a campsite on the Maggia. Without reservation, we drove 31 July 2008 at 9.00 clock in the morning going south. The first stop we made already in Chur, because we had to buy little things. The next stop was then at the San Bernardino pass. There we ate something small and presented us with a strong espresso to the south.
The weather did and we took a big piece of the old main road. There it was deserted as far as the volume of traffic. Only when Mesocco we headed to the highway to the lower flat part of the Misox quickly put behind us. After the tunnel before Locarno (we forgot again how hot it was in there the last time) we arrived at about 14.00 clock in the Maggia Valley, and inquired at the campground "Piccolo Paradiso" for an empty space. Under shady trees, we got it and we settled down immediately.
We soon realized once we were in good hands between families with small children, that is, we did not need an alarm clock in the morning in time to be awake.
The Maggia offered once enough stones, cool water and plenty of idyllic spots to spend the whole day to feel good.
