Finally, with the Vespa on the road. Actually, was 16 July meant as departure on Monday. When installing the new battery in the LX, I noticed durchgescheurte cable. It still had to be repaired and then everything shifted by one day. On Tuesday morning, then it went off. On the route was the Grand Canyon du Verdon to be there. Therefore, the trip went over to France to the Cote d'Azur, from there on to Italy and Monaco on the Reschenpass we came back to Switzerland. We were eight days on the road, had a different campsite every night and put back on average 235 km a day, a total of 1885 km. The route I made a Google Earth file together, so you can leave them with interest.
*
1st Part, Wallis - Rhone Alps - Val du Verdon - Nice
* And back again over Monaco - Italy - Lake Garda - Reschen - Engadine
The pack was not easy and I quickly realized that it was not with top case, helmet and front luggage compartment is sufficient. So I constructed a few strands of foam on my old motorcycle side pockets, which rendered me in Scotland and southern England good services to the XT 600th This will also fit beautifully to the GT, since I still had a few nachgeschlauft belt.
For luggage at the GT 200:
- Pockets were reserved for clothing.
- The top case was Aluhocker, roadside foam, candle, gas stove and cooking utensils, sponge bag, first aid kit, guy ropes, Pneupumpe, electric mattress pump, food, dishcloth and flashlight. I was surprised by what went in there all

- In the helmet compartment was the tool kit, sleeping bag, cotton bed cover, jumper cables, sandals, rain pants and rain jacket, electric charger for MP3 players, cell phones and cameras as well as smaller parts.
- The tent and the mattress, I packed in a waterproof motorcycle bag and tied these to the passenger.
- Last but not the camping table was lashed to the front rack.
The LX had, together with the top case and the helmet still strapped on a passenger compartment bag.
And it went on the trip. The handling was minimally affected by the packaging system. Besides the weight uphill you could tell them almost nothing.
